Capturing the Magic of Christmas at Sanderson Arcade

The year isn’t over yet, but as I’m heading into my busiest season with the pop-up gallery, I wanted to share a lovely bit of news.

I was recently commissioned by Sanderson Arcade in Morpeth to create the artwork for their 2024 Christmas marketing campaign. If you’ve ever walked through the Arcade when the lights go up and the red carpet comes out, you’ll know exactly why this was such a joy to paint — it’s the moment the whole town switches into festive mode.

I created the piece in my pen-and-wash style, capturing the warmth, sparkle and atmosphere of that iconic entrance. Sanderson Arcade have turned it into a limited-edition postcard available in participating stores throughout the season, which is a surreal and rather brilliant thing to see out in the wild.

The Northumberland Gazette covered the story here:👉 Read the full article

A huge thanks to the team at Sanderson Arcade for inviting me to be part of Morpeth’s Christmas this year — and for their support throughout the markets.

If you’re in town, you’ll find me (and a stack of prints!) at the pop-up gallery at the weekly artisan market every Wednesday. Feel free to stop by and say hello.
